How To: Love Your Body at any Weight
How To: Tips for Living
I’ve lost ten pounds!!! And it only took a year! Not particularly impressive especially since a few short years ago I weighed 30lbs less than I do now. But, what if I tell you I’ve never felt better? Sexier. Happier. More fulfilled & satisfied. Impressed now?
When I was at my lowest weight, I still suffered from poor body image. Why? Mindset and lack of self worth. This former people pleaser has learned how to put herself first without sacrificing my contributions to others. I once cared so much about what other people thought of me, I had no true sense of self.
Perhaps the more decades you have under your belt allow for more no F*CKs given, but a couple of years ago I hired my first coach and made some amazing changes in my thought processes and way of being.
I started the deep work of understanding who I am at my core and my true power. I learned about “my shadow” and loving and accepting myself exactly as I am. Radical self acceptance is the term used in the self help industry. I have learned to find joy again and live every moment with soulful intention.
Now that I have become satisfied with myself and my life just as it is does not mean that I have stopped striving for better or for more or that I’ve given up on setting goals. It simply means that I choose my goals with discernment based on what I truly desire, I have a deep understanding of my weaknesses, my triggers and I love myself completely despite them. I enjoy the tastes of pairing wine with my foods more than being skinny. So, I am in control. I actively make the decisions to indulge with pleasure and leave the guilt behind. When I choose to focus on health, I do it out of love for myself instead of shame.
2020 brought some challenges for myself and for my primary business that I could have never imagined. But, It also allowed me the opportunity to uncover core gifts that I had been previously scared to recognize. To connect with spirit and source and define my soul’s purpose. I have grown exponentially this year and have been coaching and healing others using those gifts to help others! Want to love yourself unconditionally? Send me a message! :-)
